Even though the sprout and baby micro-green operations are indoors, we have 30.4 acres in all, and are very careful in deciding what areas to cultivate for crops and what areas to allow to remain “wild,” and subject to other natural processes. We have areas of native prairie grasses and wildflowers, wooded areas with woodland wildflowers and very old trees, as well as a year round flowing creek and our own constructed 25-foot deep pond, all of which are covered with natural critters. The deer, blue heron, pheasant, rabbits, red fox, multitude of fish, insects, invertebrates, frogs, and the occasional coyote and wild turkey are all part of our family here and share this wonderful environment while playing their important role to help us keep it balanced.
